As the island takes the next step in the Safe Exit Framework, more islanders are being permitted to return to work.
While not all employees can yet return, employers are being encouraged to create a plan for reducing the spread of the virus once they reopen, even if they are not yet eligible to do so.
Knowing how to start a risk management plan, and what factors you need to take into account, can be stressful. Law At Work is currently offering workplace reviews to ensure your business is ready to open its doors. We can work through the processes of reviewing the workplace with employers, as well as issue a risk assessment upon completion. Staff and customers want to know businesses are putting their health and safety first. Communicating the details of what systems you have in place to minimise the spread of COVID-19 will help reassure them.
Our highly-trained health and safety team can issue a full re-occupation risk assessment that follows the Safe Exit Framework, so you can be sure your business complies with the most recent amendments. We can talk through each step of preparing your workplace for reopening and the actions that need to be taken.
It is also recommended to review and update health and safety policies to cover any measures that need to be taken. Informing staff of changes to policies and procedures is critical to ensure that any necessary actions are being performed by all relevant staff.
