A Typical Tribunal Process

Step 1

Claim received against the employer.

Step 2

A response is submitted from the employer.

Step 3

The parties should consider whether conciliation, an attempt to reach a mutually agreeable settlement, would be suitable at this stage.

Step 4

An administrative hearing to prepare the case will likely be arranged by the Tribunal.

Step 5

A final hearing to determine the substantive matters will take place with both parties entitled to argue their points and call upon experts, witnesses and documentary evidence to further their case.
