Law At Work appoints new director

Law At Work has appointed Lorna Pestana as a Director.

Mrs Pestana, who is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), has over 20 years’ experience in human resources, most recently as Head of Human Resources for the Guiton Group, the publisher of the Jersey Evening Post and Guernsey Press. Previously, she was HR Manager at Jersey Dairy and Personnel Director at the Hotel de France.

A past Chair of the Jersey Group of the CIPD, Mrs Pestana remains a tutor / assessor at Highlands College for CIPD Foundation and Intermediate Qualifications. She is also a Fellow Member and tutor / assessor for the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Mrs Pestana was a Board Member of the Jersey Advisory and Conciliation Service from 2006 until 2012.

Mrs Pestana said: “I have known and respected the team at Law at Work for many years so I feel incredibly fortunate and excited to be joining such a forward-looking business. In my new role, I will be developing the Law at Work Training Academy, adding to the current offering of bespoke training for our clients. We will be providing training on a variety of employment-related issues, which will keep Law At Work at the leading edge in this dynamic sector.”
