CIEH Level 4 Food Safety course

We are running this course on 22 July, 23 July, 30 July, 31 July and 1 August 2014. It is a 5 day course. £500 (ext GST) per attendee.

Assessment: Controlled Assignment and Exam

From food business owners to trainers, from production managers to hygiene auditors, this qualification meets the food industry’s need for a high level practical qualification with external accreditation.

Who needs this qualification?

Managers, supervisors and senior hygiene personnel such as:

  • production managers
  • trainers
  • owners or managers of food businesses
  • supervisors with intermediate food hygiene knowledge
  • hygiene auditors
  • shift managers or supervisors

This qualification is also suitable for those wishing to deliver CIEH food safety qualifications as part of their training provision.

Why is this training important?

Beyond being accountable, it is important for everyone in a managing or supervising position to have mastered the principles of good practice in food safety, thus gaining the ability to guide and advise on the management of food hygiene in a food business.

The CIEH Level 4 Awards in Food Safety have been designed as a five day programme to provide an in-depth understanding of food safety with an emphasis on the importance of the management of systems and staff.

  • Deliver the CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety (with appropriate training skills)

CIEH Level 3 & 4 Food Safety Refresher course

We are running this course on 24 June 2014. It is a full day course. £110 (ext GST) per attendee.

Assessment: Multiple choice exam

Who is the qualification for?

All candidates who have taken the CIEH Level 3 or 4 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering are recommended to take a refresher course three years after completion.

Why is this training important?

Food safety regulations and best practice are constantly changing, and in order to guarantee safe food for consumers, food business supervisors must keep their knowledge up to date.This qualification:

  • reminds candidates of their supervisory responsibilities towards food safety
  • refreshes candidates’ knowledge of food safety
  • encourages best practice within the workplace

Learning outcomes

Successful completion of this refresher qualification will enable candidates to understand:

  • the role of the supervisor in ensuring compliance with food safety legislation
  • the application and monitoring of good food safety practice
  • how to implement food safety management procedures
  • the role of the supervisor in staff training
