DESCRIPTION:Who needs this training?\nAny person given the responsibility\, of assessing risks users are exposed to at computer workstations. This training is designed to provide assessors with the knowledge and practical actions they need to take when assessing the risks faced by their colleagues using computers. \n  \nWhy is this training required?\nTo enable organisations to meet the Jersey Display Screen Equipment at Work approved Code of Practice by providing assessors with the skills to assess risks in the use of computer equipment. \n  \nLearning Outcomes\n\n\n\nUnderstand the main requirements of relevant legislation as they relate to display screen equipment use.\nDescribe the possible harmful effects to the eyes\, musculoskeletal system\, skin\, nervous system\, and psychological wellbeing of people that may be caused by the use of DSE.\nCarry out risk assessments\, identify techniques for reducing risk and make recommendations for corrective action to minimise harm that may be caused to DSE users and operators.\nAppreciate how DSE assessment is an integral part of overall health and safety management in an organisation.
