DESCRIPTION:Who needs this training?\nAnyone who directly cares or supports people living with cognitive impairments or a dementia. \n  \nWhy is this training required?\nThis training is described by the Jersey Care Commission (JSS) in their care standards as a statutory and mandatory training requirement for staff working within the care industry. \n  \nLearning Outcomes\n\n\n\nDemonstrate an understanding of the types of dementia and how these differ in terms of symptoms\, progression\, and challenges.\nRecognise the needs that are communicated via the behaviour of people living with dementia and be able to respond appropriately to distressed behaviour.\nRecognise the needs of family carers and friends and enable an appreciative and collaborative relationship.\nUnderstand the principles of person-centred care and know how to meet the needs of people with dementia.\n\n\n\nPrice is inclusive of GST.
